Turn away your eyes
that to eternity implode,
their siren call
I cannot resist;
their gaze beautiful
does infect,
tho not deadly,
a mortal affliction
upon my single soul.
The innumerable fires
from the silent heavens,
the boundless question unanswered,
does reside in your eyes.
Could I evaporate
through your summer windows
and relinquish my self,
to abdicate physical reality
and wander lost paradise in those eyes,
eternal would I suffer the pain tenfold now.
But for my dismay,
immortal beauty constrained
does repel your affections
further away.
